Eric Carle, the American author-illustrator of The Very Hungry Caterpillar, passed away on May 23rd. He had a unique style of working in collage, overlaying layers of tissue paper and creating images in near transparency as well as in deep and multi-layered colors, and his books have inspired generations of young readers around the world.In his memory we are now exhibiting some of his picture books, including “The Very Hungry Caterpillar,” which we have in English, German, Korean, Vietnamese and Thai.
